Welcome Scene
Radio Proglas Welcome Scene is one of the festival specialities; the performers for this scene are selected in an audition. Radio Proglas Welcome Scene is a great opportunity not only for young and up-and-coming musicians, but also for professional and established artists. The scene draws attention of music dramaturges and journalists, which means that musicians performing on the Radio Proglas Welcome Scene often get an offer for their next concert.
Hradecký Slunovrat 2022 will feature 10 artists selected in the audition (Radio Proglas music editor Milan Tesař will select 9 of the performers, the festival dramaturge Zdenek Svánovský will pick one performer as a “wild card”).
One of the artists performing on Radio Proglas Welcome Scene in 2022 will be selected to perform on one of the main festival stages in 2023.
All the selected artists will get the opportunity to present their music on Radio Proglas. They will give a concert or an interview in the programme called “As You Like It” and at www.hudbenirozhovory.cz.
Artists can audition for the Radio Proglas Welcome Scene 2022 from 10 October to 31 December 2021. To apply, fill in the application form (downloadable below) and email it to welcome@hradeckyslunovrat.cz. The selected artists will be announced no later than 17 January 2022.

Welcome scene is an unpaid festival zone of Hradeckého slunovratu.
1. The festival organizer (hereafter referred to as Organizer) offers musical artists (hereafter referred to as Artist) the opportunity to perform on the Radio Proglas Welcome Scene. The number of slots is limited and the Organizer reserves the right to select the performers regardless of the order in which the registration forms have been submitted.
2. Fill in all the boxes in the registration form. An incomplete form will not be accepted. Email the form to welcome@hradeckyslunovrat.cz by 31 December 2021. Put „Radio Proglas Welcome Scene“ in the subject of the email.
3. The Artist will be informed whether they have been selected to perform on the Radio Proglas Welcome Scene by 17 January 2022.
4. The Organizer will provide:
· a 60-minute time slot (35 minutes for the performance, 25 minutes to set up the instruments and perform sound check)
· an elevated stage
· 230 V plug
· sound system
· promotion of the Artist on the festival website and Facebook page
· free entry to the festival
5. The Artist agrees to provide a high-quality performance, observe the assigned time slot, and respect the Organizer’s and the stage manager’s instructions.
6. The Artist agrees that the Organizer can take photographs and record their performance and use the materials to promote the festival Hradecký Slunovrat.
7. The Organizer will pay the Artist a fixed rate of:
· 3,000 CZK (this includes travel expenses) to performers from the Czech Republic
· 120 € (this includes travel expenses) to performers from Slovak Republic and other foreign countries
8. The Organizer provides refreshments (in the backstage) for the Artist.
9. The Organizer does not provide accommodation for the Artist
